At the end all the pieces click together but I did wish for more of Jasper. She shifts to new characters, Kit’s secret relatives, at a big family Thanksgiving in another part of Vermont, as well as more scenes at the long ago music camp. I would have been happy to stay in Jasper’s life for the whole book as he is a gruff mountain philosopher with funny lines, but Glass has over 200 pages to go.
